The geriatric medicine department at Charpennes Hospital developed this unit more than 20 years ago, giving it unique experience and expertise acquired over many years. However, to date, the profiles of patients included in these units and the factors associated with loss of independence and the outcomes of older patients hospitalized in neurovascular units for older adults remain unknown.
