# Visible funding does not always arrive with a matched trial.

**Question:** Among fields with direct official grant records, how many also have registered clinical trials?

**Observation:** Direct official grant records appeared in 120 fields; 92 of those fields also had a matched trial registration and 28 did not.

## Interpretation

The snapshot shows where funding and clinical-development activity coexist at field level—and where they do not yet meet in the index.

## Limits

This does not show that a grant funded a particular trial, caused a result, measured total spending or established scientific impact.
